The cable is available in 1-ft increments from 8 to 20 feet (specify cable length when ordering). Featuring the T71FC helm with a Planetary Gear Design, the Rotech reduces steering effort and delivers more balanced loads on the steering wheel. This unique design also offers a wider wear area which reduces lost motion and improves durability. Centered on the main drive shaft, this helm requires less room behind the dash and is a direct “drop in” replacement for competing system; requiring no new holes for installation. Traditional SeaStar Solutions (formerly Teleflex Marine) mechanical rack steering is still the choice for sterndrives, inboards and other power-assisted applications. It's just right for power-steered boats in which No-Feedback Systems are not Required. The Back Mount Rack Steering System features the precision and comfort of four turns lock-to-lock with a cable and helm that install easily from behind the dash. Note: This System is for Single Station use ONLY. This System is only recommended as a replacement for the original system as installed by the boat manufacturer. SeaStar Solutions always recommends NFB Helms for Outboard Applications.
